February 11 is the anniversary of the first apparition of Mary to Bernadette Soubirous. It is the foundation day of Lourdes Convent School and holds a very special place in the hearts of all connected to the divine institution; be it the Management, staff or students!
The day started with the 'Holy Mass'. The atmosphere was truly divine with the presence of Rev. Fathers who offered prayer services intended to bring real blessings to all gathered for the Holy Mass. The story of Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes, believed to be one of faithfulness and perseverance was retold in short. The miraculous powers of Lourdes and the healing power of faith were explained.
The prayer service offered, divine hymns sung, brightly lit candles, fragrance of flowers and incense sticks added to the divinity of the entire celebration. A video highlighting the significance of ‘The Lourdes Day’ was shown to the students with a noble intention of inculcating the true values of a lourdian.
