High School

Welcome to the Lourdes Convent High School! Students in the High School engage in a rigorous course of study that incorporates the 21st Century skills students will need as they move toward independent life in university and beyond. With these skills and a well-developed sense of optimism and integrity, students have the courage to question convention and think differently about the challenges facing themselves and our world.

This entrepreneurial spirit is fostered in a structured, yet intimate, environment. The High School is large enough to offer many academics to extracurricular opportunities, yet small enough so that all students become well-known by their teachers and peers. Students have the opportunity to develop and pursue their passions and truly have an impact on their areas of interest. As a result, each student stands out because talents and gifts are allowed to flourish in a unique way.

At Lourdes, learning in the High School is focused on preparing students for a successful college experience by engaging them in a challenging course of study. We inspire them to continuous inquiry with the hope that they become critical thinkers who are able to communicate effectively and creatively approach emerging challenges in life, at school and the world.

In our multicultural context, students in the High School are empowered to develop positive peer and adult relationships while pursuing their course of study. Outside the academic day, a broad range of programmes including athletics, service opportunities, arts, and an annual day enriches student life.

We utilize the Gujarat State Board programme as a tool, which assists us in our focus on the Convent Mission.  Students of 10 and 12 are exposed to this challenging curriculum for SSCE and HSC certificate exams respectively. Our ninth and eleventh standard students undergo studies that are designed to prepare them for the state board exams.

In the High School, students are encouraged to pursue their dreams and enhance the lives of others. There are a number of clubs, sports, and leadership opportunities for students including: student council, school band, school choir as well as a variety of special interest clubs.
